Third option.
As its ment to be A3 (and the folders a4+) i was thinking instead of blowing it up i could place it on a desk like environment with coffee cups ashtrays ect with each moving about as the folder progresses (ash tray can fill and empty, coffee cups can go down and refill ect). obviously this is just an example and the real one would be under better lighting and conditions.

Mr I. C. Bartlett
I have decided to go for my dad, as I believe there is more subject matter. I will create a book that shows what I believed my dad was like when I was younger (the brief specifically says such an imagined perspective is ok). It will look like a police report with evidence, all made by me, and will progress like a murder novel getting new evidence as you go along. It will be funny at times and hopefully fun. I’ll try and blend real life situations with fantasy as I used to when I was younger. The police officer's name will be John Quinn as that was what my alias was when I was little (I don't know why! I think I read it in some shitty book about vampires!) and I’ll give an explanatory note on the inside front page to show what the book is about. The whole book will have different notes, "official" documents and pages on different kinds of paper to make it more interesting.
FONT MADE for fake document!!
I have made a font which works (with slight glitches). It has four fonts and it automatically picks alternative letters depending on the surrounding letters. You can choose the level of automatic randomness:

or (using a different font in the family) pick individual letters yourself by pressing alt keys or cap alt keys. Here is an example:

I have also made up miscellaneous characters so that if you choose you can make it look like there are errors in your writing. The font works well with words and names like Bartlett and attention as the three it's shows its potential. People can spot inauthenticity in normal 'rough' fonts as supposedly unique letters are repeated. This prevents this happening. However as words are repeated the same it is probably best to use this font for headlines and titles rather than body text. for body text it will be better to use the font that allows the user to choose alternatives.

I'm probably only going to use it occasionally as its quiet distinctive and still has errors the rest of the writing i'll try and actually type or handwrite.

RCA
even though such work doesn't really inform how I'm going to change the underground into a new space. the two obvious solutions are contradictory.
Either i go one way and recreate it as a place to think (no adverts, inspiring writing, shocking but thought provoking graphics, possibly mind games ect).
Or i go the other way and make it a social place to communicate with each other (interactive video advert, signs saying "smile please" and "make eye contact" ect).
now i'm unsure which one to go for and as such it will inform the kind of innovative new place i shall create. i would be interested in hearing others opinions as to which one you think is better?
i was thinking if a place to think it could become a modern version of peoples corner, where people can get their ideas put up instead of adverts.

RCA: anti-adverts
I started looking at what i want to do on the train, which is think. This got me onto a more negative view of advertisement as a form of subliminal messaging, as well as its obvious bombardment of the senses. I created these as examples of how guerilla advertisement could stop this and make people take notice.

I then started looking at a way of making people take notice of other aspects, like why they cram themselves into trains each day voluntarily. For this i used imagery of POW trains, jewish prisoners in trains on their way to Auschwitz and pictures of times of depressions:

Interesting person: My Dad
i was searching for someone interesting to do the illustration book on and finally realised that my dads had quite an interesting life. it seems a bit of a cop-out but bare with me. my dad has lived in many countries (indonesia, jamacia, america, mexico, south america, china, ethiopia the list goes on). when i was younger i used to think he was a spy or something as he never stayed in any country for very long he always used to send me postcards (which i can try and find). hes got some mad stories about his life. weve got a south american wanted poster in our house of a man my dad used to drink with. now i know he works abroad doing water treatment for third word countries but was thinking of doing it from the perspective i had when i was younger only seeing him every four to six months.
interesting person: policeman
i have a friend who is a policeman and has been for years. he was around during the brixton riots and has seen many changes so thought he might have stories for me about it.
