Mr I. C. Bartlett

I have decided to go for my dad, as I believe there is more subject matter. I will create a book that shows what I believed my dad was like when I was younger (the brief specifically says such an imagined perspective is ok). It will look like a police report with evidence, all made by me, and will progress like a murder novel getting new evidence as you go along. It will be funny at times and hopefully fun. I’ll try and blend real life situations with fantasy as I used to when I was younger. The police officer's name will be John Quinn as that was what my alias was when I was little (I don't know why! I think I read it in some shitty book about vampires!) and I’ll give an explanatory note on the inside front page to show what the book is about. The whole book will have different notes, "official" documents and pages on different kinds of paper to make it more interesting.

okay Will, here is a brief overview of what was suggested in class:

*you need to translate 3-D elements into something printable (i.e. photograph them)

*what is the 'quality' of the book? (is it scruffy, if so it needs to be something someone would buy. see photography above)

*"make scruffy slick"

*does your text look authentic? (does it look policey?)

*don't get all stuck because you've really only got this much to do (hold fingers an inch apart)

Good Luck!! - Alex

(ps: maybe think about the type of binding a bit more i don't think strings holding it together is appropriate. maybe you can have it bound like a proper book but fake staples and such on it.)
